Another one for Matt

Marta's post got me thinking about another angle for your research. ECO Canada does a lot of good work, and get loads of government funding to run their program. I would say they are the best capacity building group for the environmental sector (the have extensive information/programs for jobs etc). I know they get employers attention.

They might be a neat spot to study/use as a starting point to identify subjects to study. Also, (being the entrepreneur that I am) they could be a good organization to approach to consult for/do research for during your PhD, or in the future when you are on your tenure track career.
