this post totally cracked me up. it reminds me of conversations i had with my dad when i was a kid about why i couldn't read the sun. thanks for the heads up!
i remember the first day following the announcement of the purchase of the "London Free Press" by the Sun corporation (now they're owned by Quebecor, i think?).
the LFP was already a bit of a rag, but the cover story after the purchase (which went along with significant restructuring, read "downsizing") was about Mike Harris' six toes, including an enormous image blown up so large you could see pixels.
this was the cover story. it's all been downhill since then.
i just burst out laughing reading this. that is unbelievable
